Below are some of the most common questions asked about my book foldings! Please feel free to reach out if you have a question that is not answered here. Prior to placing an order. please carefully read the "Disclaimer" section at the bottom of this page.
How much do your books cost?
Depending on what you want the book to say will determine how much the book folding costs. Please reach out to me directly and I will inform you what your book will cost based on what you want it to say.
As you can imagine, "Deb" is much quicker and shorter to do then "Deborah." Therefore, Deb, would be the cheaper option. I calculate the price based on how many letters/symbols/numbers it has, how long each of those take to fold, and what font you choose. My prices always include the price of the book, unless you would like a specific book, then I will tell you how much the book cost and ask you to cover the cost.
Prices do not include the cost of shipping. I will ask you to pay shipping separately after the book is complete, before I ship the book. I do this to avoid overcharging on shipping. Upon request, I can give you an estimated cost of shipping before you place an order. All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise specified or discussed. Depending on where the book is being shipped to, the cost of shipping is generally between $10-$20. I do not ship internationally.
How do I order?
All orders must be placed via email, text message, Instagram, or the "Order Now!" section of my website. I recommend that we chat before you place an order so that I can work with you on how to make your book look the best it possibly can. I can tell you what is and isn't doable and how much it will cost.
How do I pay?
Payments can be made via PayPal, Venmo, or Credi Card. Prior to placing an order, please let me know if these are not an option for you.
Can I request a specific book?
Yes and No. I can only use hardcovered books to make a book folding. Also, each design comes with a minimum number of pages that are needed. I am always happy to try my hardest to make your design with whichever book you would like. Requests for a specific book may raise the price, as procuring a certain title often is more expensive than using a book which I have on hand. Common requests in the past have been: The Twilight Saga, The Harry Potter Series, The Lord of the Rings Series, and other classics like The Great Gatsby and Moby Dick.
If you are interested in a specific book for your book folding, please reach out and I will be able to let you know if your request is doable, and how it will affect the time and the cost.
Is there a maximum length?
It really depends on what you want written. Usually, the maximum is around 7-9 letters/characters, but it varies based on what those characters are and which font you choose. Please reach out and I'll be happy to tell you if what you what is doable.
What symbols can you do?
Please see the "Portfolio" part of my website to see all of the symbols that I can do. There are plenty more that I have never used before (eg "~", "!", "@" etc.), so if you're looking for something specific, just ask. The most popular symbols are a heart, a star, and a paw print.
Once I place my order, when should I expect my book to arrive?
There are a number of factors that affect the speed with which I am able to complete an order, but in general, I try to ship ordered out no later than two weeks after they are paid. As you can imagine, I have "busy seasons" and kindly ask for more time leading up to some of the popular gift-giving holidays such as Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and Christmas/Chanukah. I am sometimes able to accommodate rush orders for an additional cost, as well as faster shipping upon request. If I am unable to complete your book folding within my standard two week window, I will do my best to let you know when you place the order.
Do you do refunds or exchanges?
Due to the book foldings being custom made, I do not offer refunds or exchanges. Each book is carefully packaged and shipped, however if the book folding arrives damaged, please contact me directly and we can discuss. All books are secondhand and gently used, therefore you can expect normal wear and tear, which do not affect the visual appeal of the folding.
How do I care for my book folding?
Care for your book folding like you would any other book. Take extra care to be gentle with the spine and the pages.

By using our products or services, you agree to the following terms and conditions: Book/Author Availability: Specific books and authors are not guaranteed unless previously discussed and confirmed with Madison. Please note that the availability of certain titles may be limited, and obtaining specific hardcover editions may incur an additional charge to cover the cost of securing the book. It is essential to communicate the desired completion date in advance to determine if it is feasible. Spelling Accuracy and Liability: The spelling of names or subjects provided by the customer will be used exactly as submitted for the creation of the book folding. Write as legibly as possible when submitting the content of the book folding on the order form, double check for typos if submitting online. Customers are strongly encouraged to double and triple-check the spelling before submitting their orders, as no changes can be made once the project is in progress. MB Book Folding is not responsible for any damages, losses, or delays resulting from inaccurate information provided by the customer, including spelling errors or unmet expectations related to delivery timelines. Not all books are created equal: I work with the available books at my disposal, the majority of which are pre-owned, read, and already loved. I strive to ensure that the books used are in the best possible condition; however, all book folding projects require a minimum number of pages to complete the design. Consequently, I select books that meet the minimum page requirement for the pattern you request. Please note that the final result of each book folding may vary, even with the same pattern, due to differences in the construction of each individual book. Shipping: While we take great care in packaging and shipping your order, MB Book Folding can not guarantee that postal carriers will do the same. Once we ship a package, estimated arrival dates can be provided, we are not able to control the shipping process or guarantee its timely delivery. All packages will be shipped via a standard USPS, UPS, or equal service unless an upgraded/expedited service is specifically requested. A faster shipping service will result in an extra charge, as the price given at the time of the order is based on standard shipping rates. If your package is delayed and the provided tracking number does not show an estimated delivery date, please contact the shipping carrier directly for more information.
